Who we are

Moorefields Red Angus is one of Australia’s newest entrants into the Pure Bred Red Angus market. With small beginnings using selected cows and heifers from existing Australian herds, we are expanding our herd numbers by using North American embryos, largely Canadian.

The principals, Tony and Karen Mackey, along with their 2 children, Jessica (20) and Patrick (17), operate the farm solely breeding high quality Red Angus cattle.

Our objective is to produce only the best quality animals for commercial and stud cattle operations as well as the cross-breeding markets, mainly to the north of  New South Wales, as well as Queensland.  No commercial stock is retained on the property and all our bulls are sold from 18 months onwards. We are actively promoting the breed in conjunction with the Red Angus Beef Cattle Society of Australia, and we are committed to exhibiting at as many agricultural shows as possible.

Our first on property sale was held on Saturday, 13 September 2003.
